There are three finish treatment in fiberglass filter bag(filter cloth)
Teflon Coated Finish:
Use ten percent liquid Teflon encapsulates the glassfiber to prevent abrasion. However, because PTFE does not bond to the fiberglass filaments, acids or alkalis can attack fabric with a PTFE finish chemically. Fabric with PTFE Coating finish is recommended for use with utility base load boilers Operating under mild PH conditions.
Silicon oils, graphite & PTFE Finish:
This triple finish was one of the earliest finishes developed for Fiberglass filter bag(filter cloth) filtration fabrics. The three finishes components combine to protect the glass fabric from abrasion, but offer only limited protection from chemical attack. the triple finish is now used primarily in cement production and metal foundry applications.
Fiberglass filter bag(filter cloth) with Acid Resistance:
Acid Resistance finish treatment consists the acid resistance polymers, PTFE, Graphite & Silicon Oils. The acid resistance polymers form a covalent bond with molecules on the surface of the fiberglass. The bonded polymer forms a protective barrier around the glassfiber surface to shield it from chemical attack. The acid resistant finish is recommended for filtration of flue gases in an acid environment.
